The NGC Technologies website was designed in house by our technical staff. We did use some various sites to help us better understand various parts of the required HTML and CSS files we would need to create, and we have used some third part bits and pieces. We feel that it is important to cite sources when you can, so that's why this page is here. Feel free to also utilize these resources to help you learn some basic web development, it can be fun (and a bit frustrating at times).
Fonts
Beyond the basic system fonts, this site includes a few custom fonts. These are:
- Xolonium licensed under the SIL Open Font License Version 1.1
- Our logo uses the Loaded font licensed under the SIL Open Font License Version 1.1
Tools and Resources
To develop a website from scratch, a few tools were needed and lots of references. A small sampling of resources are:
- Made with Bluefish HTML editor
- Logo and some picture editing done with paint.net
- Testing using nginx
- E-mail from from HTML Form Guide
- Help on HTML and CSS basics from W3Schools
- Inspiration for part of the page layout taken from Ars Technica
- The many, many answerers over at StackExchange/StackOverflow
(as I can remember what sites we used, I'll update the list)
